Kaj and Barb have spent the last decade working in and managing dive resorts around the world. Kaj spent his formative years in Roatan, working in the West End and Barb learnt the diving trade working in Exmouth, Saba and Antigua. They finally met each other in the Commonwealth of Dominica in 2003. Since then they have managed Dive Centers and Resorts in Malaysia (Palau Tioman), Fiji (on board the Tui Tai) and in Belize (Turneffe Island Resort). Lembeh and KBR have always been top of their list for working.
Kaj (pronounced Kai) is originally from London, UK. After working in the City for nine years, then teaching Bridge and making a TV comedy show, Kaj never wanted to wear a suit or live somewhere cold again. It was time to follow his passion for diving and he has never looked back. Kaj loves taking underwater video, especially macro while in Lembeh.
Barb hails from Melbourne, Australia. Barb decided at an early age the she needed to see the world and after a spell working on cruise ships in the Caribbean discovered her love of diving, became an instructor and has since worked all over the world. Barb became one of Malaysia’s first Reef Check Instructors and has a deep love for the underwater environment. Barb’s passion is taking underwater photographs and many of her wonderful photographs can be seen via the blog page of the KBR website.
KBR's dive guides are amongst the most experienced in the Strait in finding camouflaged and elusive creatures. They also understand the extra requirements of underwater photographers and will move slowly and patiently to allow you to get the shots you want. And group size is limited to no more than four guests per guide, ensuring an 'elbow-free' diving experience!
Meet KBR's Diveguides Ade, Liberty, Jeff, Horin, Risman, Tamrin, Jony, Joe, Rony, Amba and Fekia. Friendly and hardworking, it is our dive guides that will make the difference in your diving experience. Make your list of hard to find critters and our guides will find them.
