Kungkungan Bay Resort's distinctive over the water restaurant building has become a local landmark for Lembeh Strait and the island of North Sulawesi. Our restaurant also serves as a social center and entertainment area. Here our guests often share their slides from Lembeh and other dive destinations and when we have our special photo pros in residence they share their photographic tips and secrets with the guests. Our building is large and spacious so guests may join each other for meals at a large table and discuss the days adventure or opt for privacy at a table for two. There is an internet cafe and TV lounge upstairs as well as a lending library.
At Kungkungan Bay Resort we view our food service as a time for our guests to recharge their bodies and their spirits. We serve a delicious breakfast and lunch buffet to get you back on the dive boats sooner. Dinner time is whenever you like and dinner is always chosen from our extensive a' la carte menu. Each night we are baking our own fresh bread and croissants and we can even prepare you a meal might you wake up in the night with an appetite.
Our menu features western favorites as well as local Indonesian items. Our kitchen staff takes great pride in creating new items for our guests and our menu items are delicious. Your dive package includes all of your food (with a few restrictions). Food is available 24 hours a day, with a limited menu after 10pm.
Weather permitting, we often have a delicious BBQ / Indonesian Buffet held around our infinity pool. These evening events provide a chance to meet and mingle with some of our staff while enjoying great food and drink against a backdrop of an exotic and truly unique tropical hideaway.
Some food and beverage items are hard to get in this part of the world, but we serve ice-cold beer (local and imported) and wine from Australia, and of course offer tropical drinks with local fruit juices and rum, which are our specialties. Drinks can be either ordered at the restaurant or at our pool bar.
